About The Meeting
The 23rd UC San Diego Advanced Imaging at Alta offers detailed, cutting edge, informative lectures on a variety of topics. This year’s focus areas include musculoskeletal, neurological, and body imaging. The course highlights the use and interpretation of a variety of modalities – ultrasound, CT, MR, PET, etc. – to diagnose both common and uncommon conditions in each of the focus areas.

Target Audience
The course is designed for board certified radiologists, in private or academic practice. This course is also appropriate for trainees at various levels in diagnostic imaging and other practicing physicians desiring insight into the current roles of imaging in a managed care environment. In addition, allied health care professionals seeking an update on recent advances in radiology will also benefit from this course.

Educational Objectives
Attendees should, at the completion of this course, be able to:
  • Demonstrate improved skills in performing and interpreting radiologic procedures.
  • Develop an organized approach to establishing an accurate differential diagnosis for musculoskeletal, vascular, abdominal and head and neck pathology.
  • Discuss the latest in diagnostic methods used to evaluate head and neck pathology, vascular disease, and the musculoskeletal system.
  • Discuss emerging technologies and cost-effective utilization of imaging methods.
No special educational preparation is required for this CME activity.

Registration & Cancellation Information
Early registration is strongly suggested as capacity may be limited. We will accept registrations on a first-come basis due to possible restriction on the number of registrants able to attend this course in person. Should you register to attend the meeting in-person and the meeting is not able to proceed as a live event, you will have the option to participate in the virtual meeting, receive a tuition credit, or a full refund.
Cultural and Linguistic Competency
This activity is in compliance with California Assembly Bill 1195 which requires continuing medical education activities with patient care components to include curriculum in the subjects of cultural and linguistic competency. Statement of Need
Feedback on questionnaires from prior UC San Diego radiology continuing medical education courses has indicated a need for radiology courses that offer a focused curriculum emphasizing differential diagnosis for entities throughout the body, in all of the radiology subspecialties, as well as summaries of new discoveries and information in radiology.
